May 8, 2020 observation report, Eldorado, NM.
Session: 8:30 – 9:30 pm, transparency average.
Telescope: 15in f/4.5 Reflector
Eyepiece: All observations made with 13mm eyepiece (~131x)
A short session, with moon-rise close to 10pm.
- M97 (Ursa Major) Planetary. Located it via Merak. Faint nebulosity in shell. Eyes very faint tonight.
- M108 (Ursa Major) Galaxy. Located ~1 deg NW from Owl Neb. Edge on galaxy. Fairly bright, and mottled. No clear bulge in center.
