Who We Are
We are a group of Santa Fe area residents who share a passion for observing the day and night sky, be it by naked eye, binocular, or telescope. We meet regularly to observe as a group, to share our passion for the night sky with the lay public, and to increase our knowledge, understanding, and enjoyment of astronomy. We engage in advocacy for dark skies, so that all may enjoy the beauty of the heavens.
Meetings
We meet regularly to share and improve our knowledge and understanding of astronomy, and the art and craft of stargazing.
You can join us in person or via Zoom, as you prefer. Details are included on the Meetings page and in all meeting announcement emails.

The image hints at the power of the VST and OmegaCAM for surveying the extragalactic Universe and for mapping the low brightness objects of the galactic halo. This image is a composite created by combining exposures taken through three different filters. Light that passed through a near-infrared filter was coloured red, light in the red part of the spectrum is coloured green, and green light is coloured magenta.](https://www.santafestargazers.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/eso1126a-150x150.jpg)
